Limestone

Limestone — dense, even and quiet. Where granite and quartzite bring drama, limestone brings consistency, which is exactly why it gets specified for large floors and building facades where a hundred slabs need to look like one material.

Some of it carries fossil detail: Jura Beige is full of ammonites and shells, and on a big floor that reading is the whole point.

It etches and it needs sealing. Limestone is calcium carbonate, so acids dull it and it is more absorbent than granite. Excellent for floors, cladding, facades, fireplaces and vanities. A considered choice for a kitchen counter.

We stock European limestone — Jura from Germany, Moleanos and Lagos Azul from Portugal, Buxy and Massangis from France, Crema Europa from Spain — alongside Texas Cream and Lueders, quarried here in Texas.
