Why prefab

It's cheaper. Cutting, polishing and edging are done at the factory in volume, so you skip most of the fabrication cost. On a straightforward kitchen that's often the difference between a $6,000 job and a $3,000 one.

It's faster. No templating wait and no fabrication queue. A prefab top can go in the day after cabinets.

It's lighter to handle. At 2CM and 190 lb, two people can carry it — no crane, no crew of four.

The trade-offs, straight

You're buying a fixed size. Sink and cooktop cutouts still need doing, but the perimeter is set. If your run is longer than the piece you'll have a seam, and if your layout is unusual — angled walls, a curved island, a waterfall edge — prefab won't fit and you want a full slab. Edge profile is what it is; you can't have an ogee. Colour selection is narrower than slab.

For a standard galley or L-shaped kitchen it's the best value in the business. For anything bespoke, buy the slab.

Any slab, any material: we will prefab any slab on this site — granite, quartzite, marble, quartz or porcelain — in these sizes. Price is the slab price plus fabrication. Text or call with the stone name and sizes for a quote.

Minimum order: 2 pieces. Each slab is cut into two runs plus matching backsplash, so orders are a minimum of two countertop or vanity pieces in the same color. Single pieces are not available.

Edge and finish: flat polished edge on three sides, matching backsplash included. Other edge profiles (eased, bullnose, ogee, mitered) available, quoted per piece.
